Zenith Becomes NCCER Training Sponsor

Students enrolled in construction-related programs at several Zenith locations now have the opportunity to earn industry-recognized credentials from the National Center for Construction Education and Research (NCCER). NCCER is a not-for-profit, education foundation, created in 1996 by leaders in the construction industry to develop and offer a standardized training and credentialing program for the industry.

“We are thrilled to have the Zenith Education Group as an NCCER Accredited Training Sponsor.  As an accredited organization, Zenith’s various campuses can use industry based curriculum to deliver real world training that results in portable and stackable industry recognized credentials for students,” according to John Havlik, Senior Program Manager for Workforce Development at NCCER.” By working together with NCCER, Zenith campuses will be able to provide a pipeline of trained individuals who can fill the current shortage of skilled workers in the construction and maintenance industries.”

Initially nine campuses will operate as accredited training and education facilities:

  • South Plainfield, New Jersey
  • Southfield, Michigan
  • Chesapeake, Virginia
  • Orange Park, Florida
  • Tampa, Florida
  • Austin, Texas
  • Mid-Cities, Texas
  • Houston, Texas
  • San Antonio, Texas

Everest offers four types of construction training programs, including Electrical; Heating, Ventilation and Air-Conditioning (HVAC); Carpentry; and Plumbing.
